He continued his post-graduate training at Yale, performing internship and residency in Internal Medicine, a research post-doctoral fellowship, and a clinical fellowship in Medical Oncology. His clinical specialty is breast cancer and he conducts both clinical and laboratory-based research. His translational laboratory research focuses on signal transduction in breast cancer.

From a one-day regional conference, the Symposium has grown to a five-day program attended by a broad international audience of academic and private researchers and physicians from over 90 countries.
